Harrisburg man charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault


Harrisburg Police say there were called about an incident that happened last week in the city.

According to police, on Wednesday, July 25, a victim and family member were walking along the 1400 block of Regina Street when a man ran out of a nearby home, picked up the victim, and threw her over his shoulder. 

Police say the victim was carried back into the home, and forced her into the apartment, as she was kicking and screaming. 

The victim reported her clothes had been ripped off, and the strangled her for about 30 seconds. She said the man screamed at her, telling her that she was going to die that night.

Police say the woman was beaten over the head with the handles of a hatchet and a butcher knife. She sustained lacerations to her hand trying to grab the knife away from him.

She also had bruising on her arms, legs, back, and neck, as well as scratch marks on her neck, chest, and right arm. 

Eventually, the suspect;’s mother came up the stairs, and after some time, the victim was able to leave. 

The suspect was identified as Terry Osborne, he was arrested the next day, Thursday, July 26. He is charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats, possession of an instrument of crime, and strangulation.
