STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WHTM) — Governor Wolf joined Penn State football coach James Franklin, student-athlete Theo Johnson, and Penn State President Eric Barron to discuss COVID-19 vaccine efforts in Pennsylvania.
They will also encourage students to get the vaccine prior to summer break to help stop the virus.
“When you get vaccinated, you are protecting yourself from serious illness, while protecting the people around you. That includes family members who are under 16, friends you want to see over the summer, and your fellow fans at sporting events – including football games in Beaver Stadium,” Gov. Wolf said.
Wolf says the state is above the national average for percentage of adults fully vaccinated.
