HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Legislation to ban sales of electronic cigarettes and other vaping products to Pennsylvania minors is headed to the state Senate.
House Bill 954 unanimously passed the state House of Representatives on Monday.
The bill would add “nicotine delivery products” to the list of tobacco products that are illegal to sell to minors. The penalties would be the same as those for selling cigarettes and other tobacco products to minors.
The bill’s sponsor, Rep. Kathy Rapp (R-Warren/Crawford/Forest), said 40 other states already ban sales of e-cigarettes and e-cigars to minors.
Her proposal is awaiting consideration in the Senate.
