30+ residents evacuated from retirement community after retaining wall collapse

Dozens of residents were evacuated from a retirement community after a retaining wall collapsed. 

It happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday at SpiriTrust Lutheran on the 1000 block of Baer Crossing in West Manheim Township. 

More than 30 residents were evacuated as a precaution and are staying in hotels, according to a spokeswoman for the community. 

Structural engineers are expected to assess the damage tomorrow. 

West Manheim Township Police said no one was hurt.
