Biglerville man arrested for abusing toddler

BIGLERVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) - A Biglerville man was arrested for throwing a 17-month-old toddler to the ground, as well as hitting and holding the child by one arm.

Police say the mother of the child was able to record Jason Lee Hartlaub, 37, grabbing their child by the arm, forcibly hitting his bottom, and eventually throwing him violently to the ground on the baby monitor in their home.

The child's head and neck hit the armrest of a couch.

Police say the incident was sparked by Hartlaub getting angry over the toddler feeding their dog multiple treats.

Hartlaub was arrested and taken to Adams County Prison.
