Carlisle Pike road work to begin Monday

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Work to repair and resurface two miles of Route 11 in Silver Spring Township is scheduled to begin Monday.

The work zone runs from the intersection with Route 114 to Dapp Lane, next to the Cumberland Vally Football Stadium.

The $2.7-million project will begin with preparatory work. Travel lanes on Route 11, also known as Carlisle Pike, will not be restricted between 6 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. or between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m., according to a PennDOT news release.

Crews may schedule nighttime operations between 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. for paving operations later this summer.

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.
