Firefighters battle 2-alarm rowhome fire in Carlisle

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) - Firefighters in Carlisle battled a two-alarm rowhome fire Thursday evening on the 100 block of Pitt Street. 

Emergency dispatchers say the calls came in for a house fire around 5:45 p.m., and it quickly rose to a second alarm. 

Fire officials say the fire affected two rowhomes. Eight people and all pets were evacuated safely. 

There were no injuries reported. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
