Police identify pill found in Taco Bell food

UPDATE: Police identified the pills as ibuprofen. It is unknown how they got into the food but they believe it was an isolated incident.

Police say Taco Bell does not allow its employees to carry any kind of medication while at work.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating pills that a woman claimed were in her meal at a Taco Bell.

Police said the pills reportedly found Saturday are undergoing lab testing to identify the substance and will take one or two days.

Silver Spring Township police are working in conjunction with the Taco Bell to determine what occurred but have noted that there were no obvious medication or comparable items to what was found in the victim’s taco.

The management at Taco Bell is cooperating with police and the investigation into the incident.
