Central Dauphin School District is working with police after a Central Dauphin middle school student posted a threat on Instagram Thursday afternoon.
The photo shows a student aiming what appears to be a gun at a camera. The caption was an explicit message threatening Central Dauphin teachers.
In a message sent to parents, the district said it contacted Lower Paxton Township Police when it found out about the post. Officers were able to contact the student and guardian at their home and found out the weapon in the picture was a BB gun.
The school district said it will take disciplinary action in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct.
