Cumberland Perry Area Votech held its first signing day for graduating seniors.
The event is similar to what is usually held for athletes committing to college.
The students from 21 different technical programs are moving on to join the military, private companies, and some are continuing their education.
“They have been here for three years in these technical programs. They’ve invested the time, they’ve made the choice to be here. This is really the payoff. They’re being handed full-time employment and benefits package and here the employers are gonna be here tonight, ” said Lesli Shuman, principal.
The vocational programs students are set to graduate from include health care, manufacturing, auto, and constructions.
