Dauphin County Sweet Frog robbery suspect arrested

Police say a man carrying an assault-style rifle robbed the Sweet Frog in South Hanover Township on Thursday.

Officers say they were called to the frozen yogurt establishment around 9:15 p.m. Thursday for report of a robbery committed by a man wearing a Halloween mask and carrying an assault-style rifle. 

According to authorities, the man made off with an unspecified amount of money. 

Police say they have identified the suspect as 20-year-old Troy Schweiger of Grantville.

Authorities were able to confront Schweiger at his home on Friday, where they carried out a search warrant of his home.

Police say they were able to obtain the firearm used in the robbery, along with the money that was taken and the clothing worn during the incident. 

Schweiger was taken to Dauphin County Prison, where he faces charges of robbery, burglary, possessing instruments of a crime, and terroristic threats.
