Swatara Township Police are trying to find the person who abused and dumped a dog on the side of the road. The dog’s owner is now pleaded for justice.

Carolyn Dymond and her family adopted Bella a Boston Terrier/Jack Russel mix when she was 2-years-old.

“She was just friendly, happy, loving, and she was just a wonderful loving dog. I just can’t imagine why someone would want to hurt her,” said Dymond.

Bella spent the summer in Swatara Township with Carolyn’s son Damien and his dad.

On Friday morning, Damien went out for breakfast with a friend. When he came back Bella was gone. The family believes someone took her. Someone saw a silver car pull up to the home that morning but didn’t think anything of it until they realized Bella was gone.

Swatara Township Police said in a release that a male dumped Bella on the side of Rupp Hill Road which is miles away from the home.

“They had stabbed her multiple times and they slit her throat and they dumped her on the side of the road,” said Dymond.

Officers took Bella to an animal hospital but she died. Dynond is heartbroken. She is now focused on finding Bella’s killer.

“We won’t rest until we find out who did this to her,” said Dymond.

Police are not releasing many details about the case but say the investigation is ongoing.
