Former Rite Aid VP charged in kickback scheme

Local

A former Vice-President for Rite Aid is now charged in a kickback scheme.

Federal investigators say 60-year-old James Pilsner of Harrisburg, took $5.7 million in exchange for inflated contracts with an Atlanta-based company.

Pilsner, who is also charged with tax evasion, faces decades in prison if convicted.

The indictment comes nearly 20 years after former CEO Martin Grass was charged in an accounting scandal that nearly destroyed the company.
