Gov. Wolf allots $31 million for traffic signal upgrades

Tired of long and faulty traffic light experiences? Relief is in sight. 

Governor Tom Wolf announced Thursday that the Department of Transportation will be doling out $31 million for traffic signal upgrades in 70 municipalities.

The funding is part of the Department of Transportation’s Green Light-Go program which works to make traffic signals operate more efficiently. 

Several Midstate communities are included in the list, including: 

  • Reading and Brecknock Township in Berks County

  • Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, and Silver Spring Township in Cumberland County

  • Halifax Township and Swatara Township in Dauphin County

  • East Lampeter Township in Lancaster County

  • Springettsbury Township and West Manchester Township in York County
