Three firefighters were injured after a Harrisburg city fire truck was involved in a crash Thursday night.
According to Harrisburg City Fire Chief Brian Enterline, City Tower One collided with an SUV around 6:45 p.m. while it was responding to a call for a fire alarm in the city’s Allison Hill section.
The fire truck did have it’s lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash.
It happened near Cameron and Market streets, and at least 5 others were injured. None of the injuries were serious.
The area was closed for a short time so crews could tow the vehicles and clean up the mess.
Chief Enterline says City Fire One will be out of service, most likely for at least a month. The department is using a reserve truck in the mean time.
