Bowl raises money for blood disease research

Midstate residents hit the bowling lanes to raise money for a good cause.

The Sickle Cell Council of Central Pennsylvania held the annual event at ABC North Lanes in Harrisburg.

A portion of the proceeds goes to research about sickle cell anemia.

The council provides resources and support for people with the disease in 26 Pennsylvania counties.
