Charges filed against driver who crashed in abc27 construction site

HARRISBURG, Pa (WHTM) – Police have filed charges against a man who crashed his vehicle through a fence and overturned in a construction site for abc27’s new studio and newsroom. 

The small SUV overturned when it struck a freshly dug footer on August 7, 2018. 

Harrisburg Police were waiting for a toxicology report before filing charges. 

According to the charges filed against Jonathon Lopez, 34, he was under the influence of marijuana and PCP when he crashed. 

Lopez is also charged with careless driving, driving on a suspended license, and possession of a controlled substance. 

Lopez was taken to the hospital following the crash, but he did not appear to be seriously injured.
