HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Crews responded to a fire in Dauphin County around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The fire started in a home on the 4600 block of Custer Drive in Susquehanna Township. When crews arrived, heavy fire was blowing out of the structure. Rescue Fire Company #37 says they got the fire under control in about an hour.
Susquehanna Township Fire Chief George Drees said the home was vacant.
One firefighter was injured with minor burns and was sent to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
There is still no word on what started the fire, but crews say the home is a total loss. The fire is being investigated by the district attorney’s fire investigation team.
