Dauphin County Prison inmate arrested after escape from work detail

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - Police have captured an inmate who escaped from the Dauphin County Prison while on work detail in front of the facility.

Tevin Brown, 26, was arrested Wednesday evening in Middletown after police received an anonymous tip on his whereabouts.

Brown was on work detail in front of the prison when he walked away Tuesday afternoon. He was last seen crossing Paxton Street in the area of Mall Road, authorities said.

He was jailed at the prison for a probation violation.

Police are looking for an inmate who escaped from the Dauphin County Prison while on work detail in front of the facility.

Tevin Brown, 26, walked away from the prison at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday and was last seen crossing Paxton Street in the area of Mall Road, authorities said.

Brown was jailed at the prison for a probation violation.

Swatara Township police and other law enforcement agencies are searching for him, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
