PENBROOK, Pa (WHTM) – A Dauphin County man is under arrest after police say he showed up intoxicated to his children’s baseball practice and assaulted the coach, who is also a police officer.

Shawn Logan, 27, is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and flight to avoid apprehension.

On Thursday night, police said Logan went to the baseball field and demanded his children be removed from the practice.

The children’s mother, the coach, and others tried to calm Logan down and escort him from the field, according to police.

Police said after he continued to be disorderly, the coach told Logan he was under arrest. They said he resisted arrest and knocked the coach to the ground.

Police said Logan fled on foot, but was captured moments later by police as he tried to re-enter the baseball field.

Logan was released on $10,000 bail.
