A fundraiser Friday night will celebrate the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.
The 55-year-old Hershey Recreation Center will be torn down and a new community center will take its place.
The new Hershey Community Center is set to be up and running by spring 2020, but Derry Township is relying on support from the community.
This total project will cost $32 million. A campaign is looking to raise $5 million.
All donations are tax-deductible.
The fundraiser is at the Hershey Recreation Center. Tickets are $100 per person.
Food and beverages will be provided from restaurants like Devon, Houlihan’s and the Chocolate Avenue Grille.
