Halifax midget football team board president charged with theft

Police charged a midget team’s board president with theft after the team reported that he stole money from them in 2017.

Douglas Clowes, 36, is accused of using a Halifax Midget Football Organization debit card to make personal purchases totaling $1,700.

He was charged with theft and released on $5,000 unsecured bail.
