Harrisburg police still investigating shooting at home of district judge

Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo has not confirmed if last week’s shooting in uptown Harrisburg involved District Judge Sonya McKnight and her estranged husband Enoch McKnight.

Sources did confirm that last week to ABC27 News.

Chardo said it appears someone in the home was justified in using force in self-defense. He said they don’t release the names of those people in defense cases, but he added that no special concessions will be given, moving forward.

“The investigation continues,” Chardo said. “They are gathering facts from everyone involved before they can determine if there will be any charges filed.”

As of Monday afternoon, police had not spoken at length to Enoch McKnight, who continues to recover at a hospital.

Chardo says that there is an active PFA and they need to hear from all sides before they determine
if there was a violation of the order.
