A Hershey man will serve up to 10 years in prison for breaking into a woman’s home as she slept and attacking her last year.

Dennis L. Divittore, 54, was ordered to serve 5-10 years in state prison last week after pleading guilty to charges of burglary, simple assault, unlawful restraint, and possessing an instrument of crime, the Dauphin County district attorney’s office said.

Prosecutors said Divittore was wearing a mask when he entered the Trinidad Avenue home and assaulted the woman on the early morning of Feb. 23, 2017.

His defense attorney said Divittore was looking for money, but police and prosecutors noted that he walked right past the victim’s purse as he entered her bedroom.
