The Goldbergs are coming to Hersheypark.

Well, sort of.

ABC’s “The Goldbergs” will replicate the sights and attractions of Hersheypark in their upcoming episode on Wednesday, October 17 at 8 p.m.

Here’s the synopsis for the episode: Adam Goldberg and his schoolmates try to prevent their parents from chaperoning them on a field trip to Hersheypark. Their efforts backfire, however, and the parents end up chaperoning the kids after all.

The real Hersheypark is not actually featured in the show, but set designers recreated the iconic theme park, including the famous sooperdooperLooper rollercoaster.

“One of my greatest memories from school was going to Hersheypark on a field trip,” series creator Adam F. Goldberg said. “I vividly remember going through Chocolate World where I bought a giant-sized Hershey kiss in the gift shop and ate it for the next year.”

The creator also fondly remembers his first time on the sooperdooperLooper.

“[It] was the first looping roller coaster I had ever seen,” said Goldberg. “Even though my mom insisted I not go on it, I ignored her and still did as a point of pride. Sure, I ended up losing consciousness on the coaster for a bit, but I still did it.  It really is an amazing destination if you live in the Philadelphia area.”
