Instead of spending his summer playing video games or at the beach, Alisher Aminov is running science-related camps for kids.
“We want it to be an eye opener to them, to say hey, you may have your quirks, or you may come from this type of surrounding, but here, you can be anything,” Aminov said.
Alisher is 15 years old. He’s headed into his junior year at Commonwealth Charter Academy. He is homeschooled, which allows him time to build up his nonprofit, Yellow Brick Robotics.
The organization offers camps and classes to kids who want to learn more about STEM and creative thinking. Alisher teaches students by using Legos, toys and machines.
