Lower Paxton police seek video after driver hits child on bike, doesn’t stop

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Police are looking for surveillance footage that will help them identify a driver who struck a child on a bicycle and did not stop.

The crash happened Friday between 6-7 a.m. while the child was in a crosswalk at the intersection of Colonial and Valley Roads in Lower Paxton Township.

The current condition of the child is not known.

Police said the driver was in an SUV, possibly a gold or tan GMC Yukon.

Investigators are asking anyone who lives nearby and may have a security video of the crash or something leading up to it to give them a call.
