Man arrested after Turnpike pursuit

Harrisburg

A Philadelphia man was arrested after police say he led them on a pursuit on the Pennsylvania Turnpike from Harrisburg to Lebanon County.

Nasir A. Grant, 19, was involved in a hit-and-run crash in Harrisburg on Wednesday and fled to Swatara Township, then took off when an officer tried to stop him in the 3500 block of Paxton Street, township police said.

Swatara police and state troopers chased Grant to Lebanon County. The chase ended when he jumped out of a Ford SUV and was arrested after a foot chase.

Police said Grant had multiple narcotics and a loaded handgun that was reported stolen in South Carolina, and he was wanted on a probation violation in Philadelphia.
