A Harrisburg man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman he met outside a Midtown bar.

Michael Ray Wright, 33, was charged Monday with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, aggravated assault, and false imprisonment.

Police said Wright met the woman outside of HMAC after the bar closed for the night on July 13. He hung out with the victim and her friend for a couple of hours, and then the friend dropped off Wright and the woman at a home in the 600 block of Oxford Street.

At the home, Wright demanded oral sex from the victim. When she refused and tried to leave, Wright hit and raped her, police said.

The woman eventually fled the home, and a passerby drove her to a hospital.

Wright was sent to Dauphin County Prison on $150,000 bail.
