A Milton Hershey School student has died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest.
Daron Godbee, 13, was an eighth grader. He passed away while at school, according to his obituary. He was from Hershey and participated in cross country, swim team, track and band choir at the school.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at Catherine Hall.
Godbee is the second local teen to lose his life to sudden cardiac arrest in less than two weeks.
Jonathan “JT” Kuhn, a Big Spring High School sophomore and starter for the boys’ basketball team, died March 4. He was laid to rest Tuesday.
Sudden cardiac arrest is a condition in which the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops beating. It usually causes death if it’s not treated within minutes, according to the National Institutes of Health.
