REAL ID deadline extended

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Pennsylvanians will now have more time to get a REAL ID because of the coronavirus pandemic.

PennDOT and the Department of Homeland Security delayed the enforcement date to comply from October 1, 2020, to October 1, 2021.

Driver and photo license centers have been closed since March 16. The centers won’t reopen until at least April 3.
