A Harrisburg elementary school celebrated World School Milk Day by unveiling a new breakfast program.
Rowland School introduced a grab n’ go kiosk to give students easier access to breakfast every day.
Former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jason Avant joined fifth-grade students to toast to the kiosk.
“If you get a healthy breakfast, you’re going to be a better student, which is going to cause you to reach your goals because you can’t learn without a healthy breakfast,” Avant said.
Research shows eating breakfast improves academic performance, health, and behavior.
