HARRISBURG, Pa (WHTM) – The Pride of the Susquehanna river boat is back in the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg.
The National Guard helped put the boat into the river Wednesday morning.
In the past, there have been issues with the getting the Pride into the water. Problems have included water levels too high or too low and engine problems with the boat. However, the boat launched without issue this year. The whole operation took about 20 minutes.
Members of the non-profit that run the riverboat are hoping for a better season than last year. Because of a rainy summer, the Pride of the Susquehanna lost about $50,000 in revenue.
General public daily Sightseeing Cruises begin Memorial Day weekend. Tickets for adults are $11. For details or ticket information click here.
