A possible threat to the Steelton-Highspire High School was not credible, police and the school district said.
Swatara Township police said received limited information Thursday evening about possible violence that was to occur at the high school on Friday.
They said patrol actions were put in place to ensure the safety of the students and staff, but at this time there is no known imminent threat of violence.
“We want to communicate to everyone at this time that everyone is safe and the threat was determined to not be credible,” the district said in a statement.
“We also want to remind you to report any possible threats, whether you feel it’s credible or not, to administration, staff, or police immediately.”
