Student stabbed at Harrisburg High School

Harrisburg

A student was stabbed during a fight at Harrisburg High School John Harris Campus on Tuesday morning, police said.

The student was stabbed in the arm with a pocket knife and transported to a hospital for treatment shortly before noon.

Another student was detained and charged with aggravated assault, possessing a weapon on school property, and related crimes.

Police said after the suspect was detained, several of his family members created a disturbance in the high school office.

One of the family members, Kevin Garcia-Rodriguez, refused to leave the school and tried to push past officers to get back into the office after he was physically removed, police said.

Garcia-Rodriguez was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest, and obstruction of law enforcement.
