HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) - A Swatara Township police officer was injured when a woman resisted arrest during a traffic stop Thursday.
Police said the officer was taken to Penn State Hershey Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Lashonda Weeks, 42, of Harrisburg, was suspected of driving under the influence when officers stopped her in the 3200 block of Paxton Street.
Weeks is charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and careless driving. A DUI charge is pending blood test results.
She is in Dauphin County Prison on $45,000 bail.
