Swatara Township sending aid to North Carolina

Harrisburg

A truckload of donations for Hurricane Florence victims will leave the Harrisburg area for North Carolina early Friday.

Swatara Township, its police department, and the Chambers Hill Fire Department collected the supplies.

For those interested in helping, donations will be accepted at the Community Aid store at 4405 Lewis Road until 7 p.m. Thursday.

They’re collecting diapers, food, books, and toys as well as new blankets, towels, washcloths, and pillows.

They also need donations of diapers for infants and adults, water, dog food, toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap, aspirin, and can openers.
