PALMYRA, Pa (WHTM) – A vigil is being planned for the mother and daughter killed when the boat they were in capsized on the Susquehanna River.

The body of 3-year-old Madelyn Binkly was found Thursday evening in the river near Middletown. Her mom, Mary Bredbenner, was found on Monday night.

Madelyn’s father, Cody Binkley, was also in the boat. He survived and was treated for hypothermia.

The vigil will be held Friday outside Palmyra United Methodist Church at 8 p.m. Madelyn’s grandmother said the event will be held at the playground outside the church, where the girl liked to play.

The grandmother is also asking people to keep porch lights on all Friday night in honor of the two.
