Republican leaders have stripped state lawmaker Nick Miccarelli from several committees on Monday.
Miccarelli has been accused of sexual assault and domestic violence. An internal investigation found those claims credible, and a follow-up investigation found he violated the House Harassment Policy by retaliating against his accusers.
According to Steve Miskin, spokesperson for the Office of the House Majority Leader, Miccarelli was removed from the Appropriations, Consumer Affairs, Human Services, and Liquor Control Committees.
His seat was moved from 42 to 113, towards the rear of the chamber.
Miccarelli is not seeking another term, but he also denies any wrongdoing.
