DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — The investigation into the death of Dauphin County Prison inmate Kyle Joseph Nadwodny, 37, has concluded.

After being sent to prison on child pornography charges, a corrections officer found Nadwodny unresponsive in his cell on May 12, a week after his incarceration. According to the press release, emergency medical assistance was summoned and performed before Nadwodny was pronounced dead at the prison.
The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office ruled Nadwodny’s death by passive hanging. The county District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation. The division reviewed the autopsy and toxicology reports, as well as, reports from prison staff and relevant video.
The investigation determined no one else was involved in Nadwodny’s death and that he died by passive hanging. Nadwodny’s family was notified of the findings prior to the public release of information.
