Eighteen handguns were stolen during the burglary of a Lancaster County sporting goods store early Tuesday, police said.

The burglary occurred at the Sportsman Shop, at 124 Main Street in East Earl, shortly after 3 a.m.

A spokeswoman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said the guns were taken from a display case.

Investigators don’t know how many people are involved in the theft, and they don’t know if the crime is linked to any other recent burglaries.

ATF and the National Shooting Sports Foundation are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.

Anyone with information should call the ATF 24/7 hotline at 1-888-ATF-TIPS (1-888-283-8477) or email: ATFTips@atf.gov.
