Two Maryland people are going to prison for a burglary at the Trop Gun Shop in 2016.

Shawn R. Prim was sentenced Monday to 15.5 to 18.5 years in a federal prison. Lena L. Griffith was sentenced Thursday and ordered to serve three to six years in a federal prison for her involvement in the crime.

A co-defendant, Parrise M. Valentine, is scheduled for sentencing within the next two weeks.

Police said Prim and Valentine stole nine handguns after breaking into the business on May 29, 2016. Griffith drove the getaway vehicle.

Investigators have said the trio had significant ties to the Bloods and Crips street gangs.

Three of the nine stolen guns have been recovered.

Police continue to investigate a recent burglary at the shop. Thirteen handguns and three rifles were stolen Feb. 5.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged in that case.
