Two Lancaster men are going to prison for pistol-whipping the owner of a city barber shop during a robbery.
Emanuel Candelaria, 23, and Domingo Rivera, 19, pleaded guilty to robbery, conspiracy, and related crimes.
Candelaria was ordered to serve 8 to 20 years in prison. Rivera will serve 7 to 18 years.
The district attorney’s office said the pair brutally attacked the owner of the Level Up Barbershop, at 18 South Duke Street, while the shop was closed on Jan. 17.
Police found both men hiding in a basement crawl space after a neighbor heard the assault and called 911. Two handguns were found in a basement drop ceiling.
Candelaria and Rivera were also ordered to pay $4,265 in restitution.
