Video of a fight posted on social media led to charges against five young Lancaster men.
Police couldn’t find any suspects when the fight in the 500-block of Pershing Avenue was reported on the afternoon of Oct. 4. They said no one gave them information and no one reported injuries.
Later that afternoon, however, an officer saw the video on social media, and investigators used that video and the city’s surveillance cameras to identify their suspects.
Police said the video shows one of the men, 21-year-old Giovanni Rivera, pull a machete from his waistband and attempt to strike another suspect, 20-year-old Elijah Galvin.
Officers are looking for Rivera, Galvin, 20-year-old Christopher Medina, and a 17-year-old.
Jesus Medina-Roman was arrested and released on unsecured bail.
All five are charged with felony riot and a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
