Lancaster

Counselors will be at Elizabethtown High School starting at 8 a.m. Monday to help a community grieving over the loss of a teenage boy.

Sixteen-year-old Blake Shearer was in Elizabethtown Borough Park when he was beaten by a man who had confronted him about playing music too loudly, authorities said. He died at a hospital Friday.

David Skalla, 24, is charged with criminal homicide. Court papers say he hit Blake four times on the head.

The district’s support service department and a team trained in grief management will be available to help teachers and students.

A GoFundMe page is set up to help Blake’s family with funeral costs and expenses.
