An Elizabethtown man has been charged in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian last year.

Brian K. Lauver, 52, admitted he was driving the car responsible for the crash at the intersection of West High and Market streets in the borough on the night of March 28, police said in a news release Friday.

The victim suffered serious injuries including broken bones, multiple lacerations, and a head injury. He continues to recover from his injuries and is improving daily, police said.

Lauver is charged with a felony count of accidents involving death or personal injury. He was released on $100,000 unsecured bond after a preliminary arraignment on Wednesday.
