Police have charged four people accused of plotting an attack on an Ephrata High School student.

An investigation began in March when school staff learned of the plan and found a knife on a student.

Police said the group of students plotted to assault a specific victim in a restroom at the high school.

They charged a 14-year-old boy with criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy to commit simple assault, and possession of a weapon on school property.

Dale L. Beachy, 18, of Akron, a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl are charged with criminal conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and criminal conspiracy to commit simple assault.
