Lancaster group giving free trees to those in need

If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, it will be a little easier with a free tree.

On Friday at Musser Park, the Lancaster Rec Commission is hosting its yearly candy cane hunt.

During the festivities, 50 free trees will be given away on a first come, first served basis.

These 50 trees were donated to help families in Lancaster who cannot afford one. They are for people who will not have a tree due to financial hardship.

The event starts at 6 p.m.
