A Lancaster police officer has been suspended, according to Chief Jarrad Berkihiser, for violating several of the department’s policies.
It’s all related to voicemails she and another unnamed man left on Brody Stuart-Verner’s phone, after he called to complain about the department’s tasing of Sean Williams in what became a viral video online.
The voicemails are filled with expletives, homophobic slurs and harassing language – much of it too explicit to publish here.
Stuart-Verner and his lawyer are calling for more than just the officer’s suspension – they want her badge taken away and for her to be prohibited from serving in law enforcement anywhere in the country.
We reached out to the Lancaster Police Department for a comment, as well as to ask for the female officer’s names but our calls were not returned.
