Lancaster YMCA may face permanent closure

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) — Officials with the Lancaster YMCA say they may have to close forever.

The Lancaster “Y” faces $5 million in debt and was to merge with a YMCA in Chester County but the Covid-19 pandemic has put that on hold.

Now, board members say unless they raise a million dollars in the next month — they may have to file for bankruptcy and close.
